Retro TV

So today I was talking to a friend and I was trying to remember this old TV show that I used to love when I was younger, but I just could not remember the name.  So when I got home I googled it.

Do you remember Todays Special?  Its an old Nickelodian show that was in a department store and at night a mannequin would come to life if you said the magic words ("Hocus Pocus Alamagocus") .  There was also this mouse that lived in the department store and she had a little elevator.

So while googling this old 90's show it brought back some other beloved classics of mine that I had completely forgotten about, like Ghostwriter.  This show was probably what got me into the love of crime solving shows.

The Elephant Show!
Remember this song?

Skinnamarinky dinky dink, skinnamarinky doo.
                               I love you…
                               Skinnamarinky dinky dink, skinnamarinky doo.
                               I love you…
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon.
I love you in the evening and underneath the moon.
                               Skinnamarinky dinky dink, skinnamarinky doo.
I love you (I love your singing!)
I love you (We'll see you next time!)
                               I… love…. you (boo.  Boo-boo-bi-doo) Woo!

I think my sisters and I drove my parents crazy with this song, because we sang it over and over again.

Eureeka's Castle
My only memory of this show was the crazy bat and Pizza Hut.  Do you remember when Pizza Hut did Book It?  If you read so many books you could get a free pan pizza?  Then if you got so many free pizzas at the end you could receive a prize (or at least thats how I remember it being I'm not quite sure)  anyway I remember one of the prize's  was to receive a plastic puppet of this bat.

Hey Dude
This is one that Brad remembers. Brad did not like this show because the main girl in the shows name was Brad and my Brad did not like that a girl had the same name as him.

I love thinking back on old TV favorites.  My all time favorites where Full House and Home Improvement.  I was a big JTT fan.  I loved TGIF on Friday nights with shows like Family Matters (Steve Urkel).  Then there are the cartoons Duck Tails, Chip n Dales Rescue Rangers, Inspector Gadget.

I wonder if I watched one of theses shows now what I would think.  Anyway what were some of your favorites?

4 Months

My Boy is growing up!  Four months being pregnant was FOREVER, but four months with my baby just flew by!

Tanner is my wide eyed little boy.  Everyone seems to comment on how wide his eyes are.  Tanner is also a man of many faces.  He is always pulling out the funny looks, and can definitely rock a double chin.  Tanner is also babbling a lot more, which I love.  I love hearing him coo.

He's just as cute as can be and growing like a weed!  I just love him to pieces!

Half

Carson is "half" potty trained.  Meaning that he will go to the potty when we are at home and he is running around naked, but if we put clothes on him and go out in public, he is not.

It was actually really easy.  I've been dreading it for so long, but with preschool coming I figured I better buckle down and do it.  So we bought a small potty and opened it like a present to get him excited and I printed out a potty "train" chart (with a picture of a train).  Every time he went potty in the toilet he would get a sticker, and once he gets to the end he gets a toy.  Most likely a new train.  He only needs 5 more stickers to get his toy!

Started it Thursday and he took off, only one accident (when I put on his big boy underwear on).  Now we just need to get used to the whole potty training in public, but I'm pretty proud of my big boy!

Tanner's Sexy and He Knows It.

So I was watching Glee and Ricky Martin sang "I'm sexy and I know it" from LMAFO, and Tanner was on my lap and we started dancing.  Thats when inspiration hit and I knew I had to make a music video.  So I call my guy (the one who took my maternity photo's) and told him of my wild idea, and he thought it would be great, no, more then great, that it would be epic!  So here's my babe in all his glory.

(This is gonna be played at his wedding).

I copied Etsy

I saw these really cute birth announcement on Etsy and they were $25.  I thought they would be so cute to put in the boys room, but I was not willing to fork over that kind of money for something I knew I could do, but just didn't have the right software to make them.  Then I got photoshop for Christmas and this is one of the first things I wanted to learn how to do.  With the help of my friend Lisa  she taught me how to do it!  Now I just need to get them printed and framed, but I'm so excited how they turned out.

Carson wears Daddy's suit

Grandma Clark made this suit for Brad when he was younger, and I'm so glad she kept it all these years so it could be passed down to my boys.  Doesn't he look so dashing?  Just wish I had a picture of Brad wearing it so I can compare father and son.

Tanner in Black & White

Although I love colorful pictures, there is just something about baby pictures in black n white that I love.

The many expressions of Tanner

I liked this one better in color

This one just cracks me up!
