Disney Cruise: Day 5 & 6

I guess the last few days at sea as we sailed back to Texas I didn't take very many pictures.  We were mostly at the pool, kids club, and playing games.  We took advantage of all the fun our ship had to offer!

On Disney Cruises people decorate their doors so you can easily find which one is yours.  Our family had really gotten into the new Mandalorian show (baby yoda) and so we did a Star Wars theme.

 Our show that night was the Disney Broadway production of Frozen.  My boys who are not Frozen fans, were not looking forward to it, but it was absolutely amazing!! It even snowed! It was just as high quality if you saw it in NYC.  The boys even admitted that it was Awesome.

For our last dinner in Tiana's palace it was Mardi gras night!!  Beads were given, there was a parade and dance party. And of course a great jazz band.  It was fun!  Oh and I also have to say, we were seated with another family for our dinners (thats how cruises work), they were from Midland Texas and they were awesome.  3 kids just like us.  Two boys the same ages as our older 2 and a 2 year old girl.  We all got along great!

 The last day at sea was like a farewell to the characters.  I tried to get the boys up early to see Captain Hook, we missed him at Pirate night and Logan really wanted to see him, but not enough to get out of bed.  It was a lot of late nights and sleeping in!  So I got up and went to see one of my favorite Disney Princess while everyone else slept.

 Later that morning they had a Jack Jack (Incredibles Movie) diaper race with the crawling babies.  It was pretty funny.

 Logan was very anxious knowing that Daisy was the only Mickey and friends character that we hadn't seen.  And so he paused his swimming to be able to go and see her.  The other boys didn't care as much.

That night our show was one of the best shows of the trip!  They performed a Disney Dream which highlighted a lot of favorite Disney songs about following your dreams. Our last night for dinner was at the restaurant that we hadn't been to yet since Brad and I went instead to the adult only one.  It was called Tritons (after the Little Mermaid) but it was nothing special, and there was no wow factor like the other two had. However that night they had lobster tail and because Disney always goes above and beyond, they even let Brad have 2 helpings 😉

After Dinner they had a farewell dance party with all our favorite characters:  It was so fun!

 And then if you didn't get a chance to take a picture with your favorite character, you could.

It was hard to leave!! We loved spending time together as a family and enjoying being pampered on the ship.  And it was so nice having it in Galveston!  Right in our own backyard.  The morning we left we had breakfast, grabbed our things, and made it home by 10 a.m.

I'm so glad we had this opportunity to go!  It was a fun family vacation!

Disney Cruise: Grand Cayman

Our day in the Grand Cayman didn't go as planned.  We were planning on going snorkeling with the stingrays and starfish, but due to the high waves it got canceled.  So instead we went to Grand Caymans infamous 7 mile beach.  We were disappointed, but the beach was gorgeous and the waves really were huge so the kids had a blast playing in them.  Although a few times the waves got so big it scared this momma's heart!  

We did get some snorkeling gear for the boys to try.  I think we saw one fish.

see how big that wave is?  And this was later in the day, earlier the waves were way bigger! We really had a fun time.  The sand was amazing and the water picture perfect.  I personally preferred Grand Cayman over Cozumel.

That night was pirate night!! Everyone is encouraged to dress like a pirate, and the cruise even provides everyone with a pirate bandana.  The boys loved dressing up as a pirate.  Logan had so much fun that he has been a pirate for the last month and a half straight.  He would wear his bandana everyday to preschool.  Even now (2 months later) he sometimes gets mad at me if I don't call him Blackbeard (his pirate name).  It's pretty cute.

Dinner was once again at Animators Palate. Logan was loving his dinner! 😂 

This night we got to draw a cartoon character on our placemats and later that night they came alive up on the screen dancing with Mickey Mouse.  My cartoon is the purple on the far right.

After dinner we got to go on the top deck for the pirate show/fireworks. 

Disney is the only cruise line allowed to do fireworks!  As always Disney knows how to put on a good show!

Before we called it a night after a long day (except Carson who stayed up late playing at the tween club) I had to get a picture of all of us in our matching pirate costumes!

Disney Cruise: Cozumel

Our boys first time out of the country and into Mexico!

Our excersion on a Mexico Resort was Beautiful.  Although one of the things that we were looking forward too was having bounce house type things on the water, got canceled for high winds.  

But we still got to play in the pool, but it with the wind it made for a really chilly dip in the pool

Tanner begged and begged Brad and I to get into the water and we took turns freezing with him!  Thats love right there.

and they had free all you can drink Strawberry Daiquiris and pina coladas!

they also had a real Mexican pinata for the kids to hit.  Logan and Tanner loved it.  Although even after a million kids tried to hit it, it never did break.  It was indestructible! They ended up having to just dump all the candy out for the kids.

Lunch time on the beach.  Food wasn't nearly as good as it was on the ship.

Even though the water was freezing and it was a bit windy we still had fun at the beach!

Went to a family game show wheel of fortune!  Carson got chosen to participate!

That nights show was a juggler.  He was funny and definitely a good entertainer, but not our favorite.  However Brad and I had a special date night.  Instead of going to our 3rdrestaurantt which was Tritan's (Little Mermaid theme) we went to the Adult only French restaurant.  So the kids went to their clubs and Brad and I had some time to ourselves.

and I must say that Brad and I both agree it was the fanciest and best dinner we had ever been too!  I rarely post about food, but this was too good not too.  We got a caprese salad, and it was the best thing I've ever had.  Our waiter said they got the Mozzarella two days before from Naples Italy.  The tomatoes from California and the balsamic had been aged 8 years.  The next day at our regular place for dinner we got another caprese and it had nothing on this.  This really was to die for!

Our waiter was amazing and seemed to know just what we would like.  When trying to decide to get steak or lobster, he said for us both to get the steak and he would bring the lobster for us to share.  And omg the steak was amazing.  I actually didn't care for the lobster too much as the sauce was a little fishy, so I'm glad I got the steak!

and then even though we were stuffed we had to get the desert.  They are famous for their souffle and so he we had to get both! The chocolate and the amarillito.  It was heaven!  And surprisingly even though they were both amazing I liked the amarillito one a little bit more.

Love this man and our date night!  Thats what was nice about the cruise we had lots of time together as a family, but Brad and I also had time alone together. For a vacation it was the best of both worlds!
