Here’s to 37!

Another year older! I was spoiled at work and at home. It was probably one of the best birthdays I’ve had the past few years! (Covid) With all the birthday celebrations I felt so loved.
Here’s my cute little class. My birthday coincided with pajama day. Yesss! Comfy clothes for the win! My co-teacher also surprised us with cute little hats and cupcakes to celebrate my birthday!

That night was birthday dinner with my boys for some Texas BBQ!
Brad even went with me to get pedicures! It was his very first one.
The following day Brad and I went out for a date night! Love him!
I combined my birthday with another momma’s for a fancy girls night out in downtown Houston! Soo fun!
and they had so many cute murals we couldn’t help ourselves 😆

Also ran the Bluebell 10k! I’m was my first ever 10k! It was awesome! Jodie (the girl in the middle with me in the pic) and I kept the same pace soo it was fun to have someone to motivate you. The scenery was beautiful with lots of bluebonnets out in bloom. Our moo-llenial mom group was smaller this year compared to last, but hopefully next year more will be able to come. This race has become a yearly tradition for our mom group. I mean they give you ice cream at the end, how could we not love it?

Purgatory Day 2

Second day!
Logan loves skiing with dad. Mom not soo much, I don’t blame him, knows what he’s doing far better then mom!

With Logan really confident on the bunny hill, we left him with his brothers and Brad and I got to go on a couple runs together! He pushes me out of my comfort zone to do harder stuff which is good for me.

Then on the very last run of the day, Logan felt confident to join us on the green hill! It was soo fun having our whole family together going down the mountain! He loved it and loved going fast! This was Brads dream come true, having all of his boys skiing together. I sure loved seeing too.
Logan killing it!
Phew two days in a row of skiing was tiring!
Every time we make the drive here, I’m usually thinking to myself that it’s not worth it. All this driving for just two days,  but when we’re there and the boys are having so much fun I realize that it is worth it. They love the snow, the mountains, skiing. And I sure do love our time together! Till next time Purgatory!

Oh and because Logan looks so cool I’m this pic I have to include it.

Purgatory Day 1

Spring break 2022! Last time we were here was the day before the World literally shut down in 2020. Crazy to think back on that time! It was nice to be back.
We love coming to Durango even though it makes for a lot of driving. 2 days to drive there, ski for 2 days, and 2 days to drive home. But we love the charming city of Durango and the family friendly atmosphere and small resort feel of Purgatory. It keeps us coming back! This is our third spring break here and probably many more in the future.
So here we go, back on the slopes. Love these boys.
Since last time we were here Logan was only 5, and didn’t really remember how to ski so Brad taught him from the beginning. Logan’s so lucky to have such an awesome teacher!
I started off with these two going on our first run of the season. It’s like riding a bike, you don’t really ever forget how to ski no matter how long it’s been.
Gash it’s so pretty here!

Logan catching on quick! Graduated from the magic carpet and onto the bunny hill!

It was perfect Blue bird skiing! Couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather! The snow was a bit icy in the morning and slushy in the afternoon, but that’s to be expected for spring skiing. We had a blast!

Hamilton!

It took us two years, but we were finally in the room when it happened!

We bought these tickets 2 years ago but Covid. I know you can actually watch it on Disney + now, but nothing beats seeing it in person!

The boys have always loved the music to Hamilton so they were so excited to go. Well except Logan. Brad was actually supposed to come and Logan was going to stay home, but babysitting fell through, so Logan got to come. Brad definitely would have appreciated it more, but what can ya do? I personally enjoyed bring able to take the kids to the theater on a mother/son date. It was a special experience for sure!

It was also the best way to kick off our spring break!

March Madness

Work fun!  With covid protocols done, we can now have fun things back at work again like our petting zoo!
It's also fun to work with this momma!

Next up girls night at the Houston Rodeo!  We saw Ricky Martin.  I know it doesn't exactly scream country/rodeo, but it was on a Friday night that worked best for everyone.  Plus it was actually really fun.  He's music just makes everyone want to dance!

These two love riding their bikes together.
Logan and Tanner played basketball at the Y this year!  They loved it.  Although I didn't get a picture of Tanner oops!

Mother son night at our school!  This years theme: Olympics.  The boys loved it.  Although it was a lot of waiting around in line....Again we're just happy that after 2 years its back. I got to enjoy some quality time with my 2 youngest. Took them out for dinner before and ice cream after.  Perfect.

Love being a boys mom!

Teenager!

Woot woot!! Teenager in da house!! We’ve got cracking voices to prove it 😆 he even got his first phone for his birthday so we’re definitely checking off all the teenage milestones one by one.
Thirteen, 13! Soo crazy where did time go? Seriously though is it possible for your heart to break and swell at the same time? I’m not gonna lie I really do miss my baby, he was THE cutest! But I absolutely love this funny, smart, outgoing, independent man he’s turning into. He’s so fun to be around I just love him.

To celebrate we went to our favorite Anthony’s where a live band was playing and sang happy birthday to Carson. And then that weekend he has some friends over for pizza candy and cupcakes. It was a great day!
