On our final day we drove down scenic highway 30 a. Its an amazing drive down the coast where a lot of the state parks are as well as the most darling coastal towns. I would love to rent a beach house along here someday! It was a beautiful drive and we stopped off at coastal town (Seaside) for some lunch. Then we went to one of the state parks, Grayton.
I was telling Brad we live on the wrong side of the Gulf of Mexico! The sand there is like sugar with a little vanilla. Absolutely no seaweed or any ocean debris of any kind except for seashells. The water is a beautiful crystal clear blue and turquoise. If Houston had these kinds of beaches it would be heaven. We'd be there all summer!
It was a beautiful sunny day, but with a bitter cold wind. It was still fun to play at the beach, we just didn't get in the water much that day.
This kid has so much personality and spunk. He cracks me up!
Looking at the seashells
So many cool looking seashells at this beach. Carson was in heaven!
This kid dropped his dorrito chip in the sand picked it up and ate it. Gross! I swear he ate a fist full of sand!
while at the beach someone told us that if Logan was naked he'd be lost in the sand.
In heaven
being on a private beach was so quiet and relaxing. It was nice to walk along the coast and enjoy the stillness and the beauty.
showing off another cool seashell
Poor kid we shouldn't have buried him, because we made him jump in the water to get all the sand off, and with that wind he got pretty cold.
It was so sad to leave. The kids had an absolute blast. We enjoyed the getaway from it all, to just relax, rejuvenate, to just enjoy each other, and to make some wonderful new memories. Destin we'll be back.
