After our trip to Utah, I've decided that our kids are going to be very well rounded. I always joked about this, but this trip definitely confirmed it. Brad and I's families are so different. While with Brad's family we went boating and biking, with my family we went to museums and art galleries. I love it!
We went to the new City Creek. Its beautiful! A wonderful addition to the downtown area.
Davis County Fair/Demolition Derby
The new Natural History Museum of Utah.
It was awesome! Carson dug for dinosaur bones, watched a roomful of paleontologists work, and saw many Utah dinosaurs, learned about the native americans, and Utah's climate.
Went to Newman's Antique in Bountiful. I should get a picture of the place, but I haven't. For the past 3 summers when we go to Utah we've gone to Newman's to buy some artwork for our house. Newman is an elderly man who's house is like a show from hoarders, except that instead of trash its filled to the brim of antiques that he has bought from estate sales. Its amazing. Here's our newest pieces of art:
We saw my grandparents and Matt and Sherry, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures. Went out for Sushi with Marilyn, Andy, and Daniel where I still couldn't bring myself to eat any raw fish (I don't like cooked fish so trying it raw just grosses me out). I had basic one with shrimp, but thats it.
Then we had a picnic at the park with my Aunt Sara and her family. It was fun to get together with everyone! We wish we lived closer so we could see each other more!
