Astros & Taekwondo

We couldn’t let the baseball season pass without going to at least one game! So off we went to see the Astros play against the Seattle Mariners! We even got free Bregman jerseys!

Started to leave until the game went into extra innings. At one point in the extra innings the bases were loaded and we were so hoping to see a grand slam from our team, but unfortunately didn’t happen and we ended up losing the game. Oh well. At least we will made it to the playoffs!

And then after much patience this kid finally got to start Taekwondo like his brothers. He now says Taekwondo is life and that he is the best one in his group 😆. He’s never lacking in confidence!

He’s first day! He looks so cute!!

Also he was super proud when he got a blue stripe in his belt (meaning he passed his block test). He was so excited he brought his belt to school to show his teacher.

And these two boys also passed their purple belt and are onto purple stripe! Just about a year left and they’ll both be black belts!

These boys sure keep us busy with their schedules!

 

1st day of school!

Can’t believe it’s that time of year again already! Summer always flies by and is never quite long enough. But we are so excited to have a normal school year again!! No masks 🙌🏻and parents can come back! Yay!

After the boys got on the bus, I raced to the school so that I would be able to see Logan walk into his class. Luckily the bus got caught in back to school traffic, so I beat Logan to his classroom. I must say that it healed my momma’s heart to do that since I wasn’t able to do it his kindergarten year due to Covid. I loved being there too see his face as he walked in and saw that his best friend from last year was in his class. Priceless!

Also quickly ran to see Tanner settle into his class on the first day and give him a hug!

Then I literally ran home (a mile!) so that I could see my jr higher off on his first day! Jr high here starts later then Elementary. Weird I know, but Carson loves that he can sleep in. I barely made it just in time to see him walk out the door and meet up with his best friend Jude. I have a picture of these two on their first day of kindergarten so I had to get a picture of them on their first day of jr high together (Jude did online school last year)!

Carson was too cool for school and didn’t want his mom to walk him to the bus, but I still snuck in this picture anyway.

But before the first day of school we had a lot of back to school stuff. Like Carson being able to walk his schedule and get his very first locker (again due to Covid last year)! No more turtle back! 😆

And his very first school dance! I may have almost wanted to cry, how can he be getting so big and doing these teenager stuff?!

Him with his buddies. I told him if a girl asks him to dance he has to say yes because it takes a lot of courage to do that. Whelp unfortunately no girls asked and he definitely didn’t ask, he just hung out with his friends. Oh well maybe next time.

Logan’s meet the teacher! We lucked out and probably got the most nicest teacher in the whole school! She’s definitely a grandmotherly teacher. Logan loves her, and while at his parent teacher conference she said that “Logan is a peach” and when I questioned her because Logan has quite the personality, she laughed and said that Logan is hilarious and gets the class laughing, but he knows when to reel it in and be quiet. She loves him which is all you want in your kids teacher.

Tanners switch teacher! Tanners home teacher was unfortunately unable to be at meet the teacher night. Tanner was a little worried about his teacher this year. He got the one teacher he absolutely didn’t want, because she has a reputation of being a yeller, but he said she isn’t as bad he thought and actually really likes her.

 Here’s to a more normal and fun school year!

Logan

 Oh Logan! What can I say about this kid?! He’s my mischievous handsome little devil. The class clown. You just never quite know what is going to come out of his mouth! He keeps us on our toes, keeps us laughing, and keeps our lives entertaining. He can be the annoying little brother, but he just wants to be with the big boys. He does NOT have a poker face and you can spot his lies a mile a way. We jokingly refer to it as his “lying face”. It’s basically a smirk he just can’t hide! He’s brave, a little silly and incredibly independent. He’s gonna rule the World.

Tanner

My stud muffin. He’s such a hard worker, smart, and outgoing. He’s a boys boy. He doesn’t like the spotlight, but loves one on one time. Here’s serious and silly all at the same time. We love to tease him that he’s your stereotypical middle child 😆 He’s thoughtful and sweet and I’m so thankful for this boy of mine! Love him the mostest.
