My Little Handsome
He's beautiful. He's perfect. He's mine. I am so incredibly blessed to have this handsome little man in my life. He has brought so much joy into our home. He just melts my heart!

Update
Its almost been 3 weeks since Logan joined our family! Its such a short time, but yet it feels like forever. So heres an update on what its been like as a family of 5.
Carson: loves being an older brother. I thought it would be a blessing that Carson would start kindergarten so soon after having Logan so that I would only have two at home. Now I'm really sad that my big helper and Tanner's playmate will be gone. He really helps me so much! Especially when it comes to Tanner. He adores Logan! He loves to smother him with kisses and hugs. He also tries to carry him which scares me! We've had to had a few talks on that. He loves to tell everyone about his cute new baby brother.
A conversation Carson and I had the other day;
Tanner: when Logan was first born Tanner became especially whining and reverted back to baby talk. Anytime I took a picture of Logan, he wanted his picture taken. Although he loves the new baby, he was definitely feeling the middle child syndrome and wanted some attention. It took a week or two, but he is now back to his normal self.
Logan: when he was first born he had this high pitched shrill of a cry that sounded like those screamer fireworks. Appropriate since his nickname when I was pregnant with him was firecracker. His cry now however is soft and small. He is a great sleeper and at night he wakes up at 3 and 6 am to feed. Totally doable! He loves his little sponge baths, his swing, and to be held by either mom or dad (not so much his brothers). He's the sweetest little thing and is very much loved!
Emily: everyone asks how I'm doing and I'm really doing great! As you can tell I was up and running right after Logan was born. Super easy recovery. I guess the hardest part has been keeping the boys entertained. We have been trying to keep busy, but some days I feel like all I'm doing is nursing Logan and feel bad that I can't play/help the boys. Then there are times when all I would rather do is just snuggle with my newborn, but need to take care of the boys, house, dinner
... Its definitely a balancing act.
Brad: my superstar husband. He is on a business trip this week and we are feeling his absence! He does so much around the house and with the boys.

In other news Scott and Stephanie came down for the weekend to see us! We also got to meet Avery for the first time. Avery is only 3 months old. It was fun getting the babies together and visiting with Scott and Stephanie.

The Murphy's come to Texas!
Its always sad saying goodbye to my mom after I've had a baby. Grandmas are such a big help! Especially since I tend to go into labor in the middle of the night, I've been so grateful that my mom's here and I don't have to call a neighbor to help out with the kids. Plus the dishes were always magically done when she was here.
She helped finish a lot of my projects, kept the boys entertained, and my house clean. Grandmas are amazing like that, but it wasn't all work, we definitely wanted her and Aaron to have some fun while they where here! So we gave them a little taste of what Texas has to offer.
Friday, July 4 Brad, my mom, and Aaron took the boys to our neighborhood 4th of July celebration. They were able to ride the train and learn some dance moves. Then they came and picked Logan and I at the hospital to go home! Later that night they were able to watch the city fireworks in the rain. Then they came home and we lit off our own!
Sunday, July 6 we went to the Houston temple and had a picnic on their beautiful grounds
Monday, July 14 we drove our family to the airport and said our goodbyes.

Tuesday, July 8 Aaron really wanted to go to the beach so we headed to Galveston for the day. Aaron and my mom loved jumping the waves while my boys loved building sandcastles. Logan and I just enjoyed relaxing in the shade. Aaron said the beach was the highlight of his trip.
Thursday, July 10 we picked up my dad at the airport. He loved meeting his new grandson and wrestling with Carson
Friday, July 11 my parents have always wanted to go to San Antonio to see the Alamo, and the Riverwalk.
Carson thought the cannons with a "real" cannon ball inside them where so cool.

Saturday, July 12 NASA!
Logan sure had a busy first week of life! But he was such a trooper and slept the entire time. We sure had fun with family and were sad to see them go!
