Brad: The weather has been wonderful lately so he has tuned up his bike and taken it back on the road. He signed up to do a 62 mile race through his company that was supposed to be last weekend, but got cancelled due to the weather. He bikes about 50 miles each weekend (his legs are mighty sexy)
Me: Keeping busy being a mom! Put on a birthday party for Tanner this week (post coming soon), working on finishing another quilt, doing my church calling, and planning a couple parties (going away and baby shower) Plus I made a new Halloween craft. I loved how it turned out! And Carson loves updating the chalkboard each day.
Carson: Doing so well in school! I'm amazed at how fast he is learning. He is already reading a lot of sight words and learning how to spell. He comes home singing lots of songs. Always gets a sticker for good behavior and treats from the treasure chest. He already has a girl from our neighborhood/church/school that has a crush on him and wants to marry him. They are good friends and I love that Carson plays with both boys and girls. According to her Carson is going to be a doctor and she's going to be a nurse (so cute!) I asked Carson about it and he just shrugged and said he's too young to get married!
Thats right!
Carson got the sportsmanship medal in soccer this weekend! Both him and his friend Cannon won it. He was so proud! As was his mom and dad.
He also had his primary program today and did an excellent job on his part. They wrote their own parts. His class was asked to talk about their mom and dad and this was Carson's line "they give me cookies, lunch, and cereal". It was a darling program, but with almost 200 kids it went rather long...
(the boys before the primary program)
Tanner: I feel as if Tanner has just blossomed! With Carson in school, lots of one on one time with me, preschool, and speech therapy; it has been so fun to watch him grow. He is talking so much more and becoming his own person vs. Carson's shadow.
Tanner speech therapy ended this week since he turns 3 on Monday. It was sad to say goodbye to Ms. Willow. Tanner has loved having someone to play with and she loved learning all about superheros!
Last weekend our family made its very first trip to Urgent Care. Tanner woke up from his nap with a horrible rash, and not knowing where it came from we took in to make sure it wasn't anything serious. The doctor said it was just an allergic reaction to something. The allergic reaction isn't a serious one and really just made him itchy. The rash went away fairly quickly, but came back the next day! The only two things connecting the two (that I could think of) was that he ate graham crackers, but who's heard of a graham cracker allergy? Strange. However after giving him some more graham crackers to prove that was what he was allergic to, he didn't have a reaction. So now we are have no idea what it could be, and will have to just wait till another reaction to figure it out.
Tanner is also becoming quite the protecter of Logan. If another kid even thinks of looking at Logan Tanner snaps at them and says "Logan MY baby!"
Logan: He's my little accessory, as a neighbor from the bus stop said. He comes with me wherever I go. He's pretty popular with all the young girls at the bus stop wanting to give him hugs and kisses.
He is a drooly little thing and loves shoving his hands, fists, fingers, and thumbs into his mouth. He is also becoming quiet talkative and cooing more and more. I love hearing him!
If we have a quiet moment Logan loves nursing in my bed. My absolute favorite thing he has been doing lately (that just melts my heart), is when he is crying (or screaming in some cases) we'll climb into my bed and start getting in the feeding position. He'll immediately stop crying and look me in the eyes and gives me the biggest smile before he starts chowing down. I feel as if its his way of thanking me. I can also tell when he is done eating too, because he stops and just starts cooing at me. Its precious and I just love him!
So thats the Clark family update so far. We've got lots going on the next two weeks with Tanners birthday and Halloween celebrations. So let the holiday season begin!
