Me & him update

It’s not just the boys keeping busy, Brad and I like to squeeze in some time for ourselves, whether it be date nights or working out. We’ve been keeping busy too.

Date night with this handsome! And enjoying our nice springtime weather (in February gotta love Texas!)
After 8 years, we said goodbye to the mini van and got ourselves a brand spanking new car! We ordered this back in March of last year and got it the end of February almost a whole year later 😱 . It’s beautiful and so fun to drive. I still can’t believe it’s mine when I see it in a lot.

Brad’s company hosts the Rodeo run at the end of every February to kick off the Houston Rodeo. The run goes through so of downtown Houston and had 10,000 runners! It was a huge event!

They have the 5k or 10k option. Brad and I ran the 10k. I felt so good running. I’ve been training for a half marathon and I was proud I kept a very even pace the whole time. Brad started super strong and got tired the last mile, but the athlete that he is still came in 11th place in his age group! Absolutely amazing. He killed it.
After the race ConocoPhillips had a private event for the employees where they had a booth for families with face painting, balloon artist, goodies bags, and one of our favorite Mexican places that catered yummy breakfast tacos. It was a great way to celebrate the race!

Rodeo Days at work! Rodeo parade and petting zoo! One of the best activities at work all year!

Cuddling a baby piglet ❤️ the best!!

Boy update

The boys keep growing and are keeping busy!

Tanner crossed over in scouts from cub scouts to Boy Scouts and got his Arrow of Light. He’s had a good group of boys in his den group and it was a beautiful night to celebrate his Cub Scout journey.
Can’t believe he’s a Boy Scout!
All the Arrow of Lights! It was a big group! Way to go boys!

Carson practiced for months for his solo UIL (have no clue what that stands for, but it’s basically Carson plays a piece and is judged by someone in the district). So proud of him

We also registered him for high school. I’m in such denial. How did we get here? Jr high just flew by and that makes me worried that high school will too…

Mother Son night at Shafer! This is my last one with Tanner. Soon it’ll just be Logan at the elementary school. Ugh I’m so sentimental. But seriously why do they grow so fast?!

Fun night with my boys! Love spending time with them and love that our school puts on all these fun activities!
