More pictures

Round two of family pictures because I just can’t resist sharing more. ❤️ Loved getting shots of Brad and me, the boys together, and even their individual pictures that show off each of their personalities. These are the moments I want to hold onto forever—so grateful for this season of life and the people I get to share it with.

Family Pictures

Family pictures always make me so grateful for these people I get to call mine. 💕 Love my crew and all the chaos, laughter, and love we share. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

And can we talk about how tall my boys are getting?! I can’t believe it—two of them are already taller than me and Logan is right on my heels. Pretty soon I’ll be the shortest one in the house!

Back to school

The first day of school has officially arrived, and this year feels extra big. We’ve got one in 11th grade, one in 8th grade, and Logan stepping into their last year of elementary school.

How did we get here so fast? Now, one of them drives, two are taller than me, and one is the last link to those sweet, small-kid elementary days.

This year will be a busy blend of high school events, middle school sports, and elementary “lasts.” Carson thinking about college, Tanner deep in the athletics, and Logan with class parties. And me, for whatever reason last minute took on the job of creating the elementary yearbook. The one who was planning on taking it over this year ended up moving, so they asked me a week before school started if I could do it.  Its a bit overwhelming, but this means I’ll be at Logan’s school more often, catching all those last elementary moments — but mostly just to embarrass him like I apparently already did on the first day of school. I’m trying to savor every one of those “lasts” while we still have them.  Although I'm not going to lie, it will be nice to only be at 2 different schools next year.

Here’s to a school year full of growth, laughter, and maybe a little bit of grace for mom as she adjusts to this new season. 🚌✏️

Meet the teacher!  Logan has Ms. LaMore, a teacher that both Tanner and Carson had as their 5th grade english teacher she just wasn't their homeroom teacher.

1st day of school!  Thankful for friends who will take pictures on the bus stop for me as I was at the school taking a bunch for the yearbook.

now here is where I embarrassed Logan.  Getting off the bus and walking to class I gave him (and his friends) a hug and wished them a great first day.  I know I'm so cringe

Here's to a great year for all my boys!

Bear Lake getaway

Quick getaway to Bear Lake with my high school besties to celebrate our 40th birthdays! 💙 A perfect overnight trip full of laughs, good food, gorgeous views, late-night chats in the hot tub, and soaking in all the nostalgia.

We stayed at Heather’s parents’ adorable lake house with the most beautiful view of the lake—it was the perfect spot to relax, laugh, and reminisce. We did a fun gift exchange of our favorite things, ate at some yummy local spots, and of course couldn’t leave without getting a Bear Lake raspberry shake.

Grateful for decades of friendship and the kind of friends who you still love and can pick right up where you left off no matter how much time has passed.

Her parents lake house had the most gorgeous views!

and fun little visitors

Just sitting on the deck, enjoying the views, and catching up on life!

When in Bear Lake you can't pass up the opportunity for a raspberry shake!

It was a great way to end our month long Utah stay!  Till next time Utah!

More Utah fun

After our time in Idaho, Brad headed back to Texas for work, but the rest of us kept the fun going during our month-long stay in Utah. One of the sweetest highlights was Brooks’ baptism. He asked Carson to play a special musical number on the cello—When I Am Baptized. They even rented Carson a cello for the day. It was beautiful and such a tender cousin moment.

We squeezed in so many family moments—ice cream after family pictures,

a Mickelson reunion in Logan

where the kids’ favorite game, Right-Left-Center, ended with Emily’s son Sam as the big money winner!,

and of course when you're in Logan you have to stop for Aggie ice cream.

There was swimming with cousins,

a cousin Lagoon Day where we came, we screamed, and stayed until closing, Lagoon days are the best kind of tired.

and bowling with Grandma Clark.

Kae and I took on the Ice Box hike near Snowbasin,

Kat spoiled the boys with back-to-school shopping,

and the Murphy family honored Olivia by continuing our summer mini-golf tradition—followed, naturally, by even more ice cream.

We also had plenty of movie nights—so many superhero releases this year! We watched Superman, Fantastic Four, the last Mission Impossible, F1, and for Logan’s birthday, Jurassic Park.

Utah always means time with family, traditions we treasure, and—apparently—lots and lots of ice cream. 🍦❤️
