Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Thats how Carson has been lately. Split personality. One minute he is the sweetest thing and the next he is a little monster. I don't know if its attention seeking, because of the arrival of Tanner or maybe its because he is getting closer to 3 (other moms have told me that 3 is worse then the "terrible two's"). Maybe its a mixture of both, but this little kid sure enjoys pushing my buttons!

Da Boys
Brad was asked to help in Carson's nursery class on Sunday and apparently Carson has a Train Gang going on. Brad said that Carson plays with the train and his friend Cole is Carson's bodyguard (Cole is really big for his age). Cole builds the train tracks for Carson as well as push the other kids away who try to take Carson's train. I about died laughing and wish I could've been there to see it. My boy and his trains!
Speaking of Carson and trains we have recently found the movie The Little Engine that Could from Netflix and Carson wants to watch it ALL day. Carson is also starting to get too smart for his own good, when I ask him to do something his newest response is "have Tanner do it".
As I've mention earlier Tanner does not like his binki and will not take it, but he has found his fist which suites him just fine. He also loves holding onto his blanket and/or my shirt and I just had to snap this cute picture of him doing both.
Aren't they just so cute?!

Murphy Family Photos
With a brother fresh off his mission, a new baby, a new brother-in law, two brothers who grew 2 feet, and a grandson who aged 2 years; it was time to update the Murphy Family Photo.
Love Brad's smile in this one. Our photographer had to get out her stuffed animal that she used for Carson to get him to smile, but I don't care he has a great smile and thats all that matters.
We're a growing family, wonder who the new additions will be in our next family photo....?

3 Months
Weight: 12.2 (25%)
Height: 23.5 (50%)
Tanner is my happy little boy. He is all smiles and loves to make bubbles. He also loves attention and is still my perfect baby by only crying when hungry, messy or if Carson is in his face. He is also already sleeping through the night. (Yes I'm allowed to say he is perfect since Carson was colicky). He loves looking at everything around him and is already wanting to move like his brother. The doctor was so surprised to see Tanner already trying to crawl, and thought he'd fall off the doctors bench. He doesn't move anywhere yet, but that hasn't stopped him from trying. Which is dangerous, because I love putting him down and knowing he'll stay where I put him.
The other day someone told me he doesn't look like a newborn anymore and that made me sad. I love the newborn stage, but I think I say that for all the stages.
Here is another comparison shot of Carson and Tanner after they've gotten their shots and are showing off their battle wounds. (Tanner 3 months, Carson 4 months)

Master of IH
Brad finished his last class in his Maters program this past December! He graduated with a Master's in Industrial Hygiene (the health part of health and safety). It has been a long road, and he has worked so hard. All that is left is a thesis to write and then he can walk in May! Not only did he finish his Master's program, but he also passed his certification test! So you all know this certification is equivalent to talking the bar (for lawyers). It is an 8 hour test and has a 25% pass rate. Only 10,000 people have passed this test since the 1960's and all of Brad's colleagues have had to take it more then once to pass. Brad passed it on his first try! He is such a hard worker, and I'm so proud of him. I'm also excited to have him back! As he said "what am I going to do with all this time?" So we are now planning on a trip to New Orleans this spring to see him graduate from Tulane University. Congrats Brad! You deserve it!
