4th of July!

On the road to Utah!
After 2 long days we made it! And we’re welcomed by cousins!

and caught this moment between the boys having a pillow fight! Gotta burn that energy from staying in the car that long.

We celebrated the 4th of July by going to the Layton City parade with Rich & Kami’s family! Love hometown parades πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.

My alma mater πŸ’•

After the parade it was BBQ at the Murphy’s.

Finished the night by watching the West Haven fireworks. It was a great day to celebrate this wonderful nation.

4th of July

We celebrated our country’s Independence Day in at my grandparents cabin in Duchesne. Everything along the Wasatch front cancelled all the 4th festivities due to covid. Duchesne on the other hand, had very little impact of the virus due to it being a sparsely populated era so there holiday celebrations were still a go. It ended up being a perfect way to  celebrate the 4th of July.

They had the cutest little parade. Bigger then I thought, but yet not so big that it dragged on forever. It was just the right amount of size. Plus they threw out really good candy, frisbees, and popsicles.

And to end it the fire truck cooled us all down.
Staying cool in the shade 😎

It was great too, because we literally got there right when it started found parking immediately and a spot to watch the parade, and we were able to leave just as quickly. Awww the perks to small town living, no traffic!

We of course had the traditional BBQ in the afternoon and by the evening we went back into town for the fireworks. It was beautiful (even if the mountain caught on fire a couple times, just a little bit)!

God Bless America

Birthday and Easter

Birthdays and Holidays are a little different in quarantine, a little more quiet, but I for one loved all the family time, cuz that's what matters.

My birthday did feel special I had friends dropping off treats and presents all day.  Plus after a couple weeks in quarantine it felt nice to do my hair and makeup!
cutest little photo bomber!

It's fun having Easter and my birthday so close together.

Decorating Easter Eggs! With quarantine I didn't have a chance to buy an Easter Egg dying kit, but thank heavens for pinterest which gave us a tye dying technique using paper towels, markers, and a spray bottle.  Super easy, plus it looked super cool.  Of course I didn't get a picture of the final product. Dang.

Easter morning!  The boys got lots of yummy treats.  A bike helmet for Tanner and Logan and Rollerblades for Carson.
Tanner found the golden egg!  He was so excited!
checking the loot!
Such a sweet boy!
The rollerblades were such a big hit which unfortunately caused a lot of fighting over who got to wear them on Easter (even though the really were Carsons).  We ended up having to get Tanner his own pair too.

and it was such a beautiful evening that we got some Easter selfies:
Sure do love this group!
