Pretty Hot Stuff

Don't you HaTE people who think they are so cool while driving a Sports car? I used to be one of them, until yesterday. I'm now GUilTy of thinkin I'm pretty hot stuff while I drove my uncle's BMW red convertable.

My brother and I had the radio blasting the whole drive. I don't know what it is about a red sports car that makes you feel so special, but I like it. I just might have to get one. If they would only fit a carseat....

Good-Bye Canyon Road

Brad's parents have officially moved out of Brad's childhood home. They are going to be moving to the Weber county area, and it will be nice to have both sets of grandparents within a short drive of each other. Its just going to be weird that from now on when we go visit we won't be driving through Sardine Canyon to get to the Clarks house anymore.

They moved just one week before Brad joins me in Utah, but Brad had a feeling when we were visiting during Christmas time that it would probably be the last time he would see the house. He was a little sad. We knew this day would eventally come, but its still hard to say good-bye to a place that you called home and created so many memories.

So good-bye Canyon Road you will be missed.

Ryan Hess peacefully passed away yesterday. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Sleeping

Declaration of Independence!

The past few weeks Carson had not been eating well and I was getting worried. The other night he wouldn't even try to eat dinner and it was something I thought for sure he would like (spaghetti o's). Then in frustration I just plopped the food on his tray and walked away.

He ate more then half the can! I have never seen him eat so well. Thats all it was. He just wanted to feed himself. Although I'm not liking the messes, its fun to see him be so independent.

Gila Valley Temple

On Saturday, we had the wonderful opportunity to go the the Gila Valley Temple open house. This temple means so much to me, because in Morenci we had to drive 4 hours to the temple. I didn't appreciate the temple until we had to make that sacrifice. I went to the temple more when I lived in Morenci then I did when I lived in Logan and lived only 2 blocks away. This temple will always hold a special place in my heart because Carson was born here.

Our dear friends the Hickenloopers drove all the way down from Farmington, New Mexico to attend the open house with us. Steve was Brad's co-worker/supervisor in Morenci and became such good friends. They came to Sahuarita Friday night and then the following day we made the 2 hour drive to Safford. It was so fun to see them again!

I have never been in a small temple before so I was a little surprised at how "small" it really is, but it was so beautiful! Being in the celestial room with Brad AND Carson was the most amazing experience. Carson loved the chandelier and kept trying to reach out and grab it. He wouldn't take his eyes off it. Then again when we were in the sealing room I looked in the infinity mirrors with Brad to my side, and I was holding Carson, and we saw our family stretch on forever. It was the most beautiful sight. I love the temple and am so thankful that we will be together forever.
