The Firehouse

Our wards mommy group does a preschool field trip twice a month and this last time we went to our local firehouse.  We got a tour of the firehouse as well as an inside look into the firetrucks.  It was every boys dream.  It was a really fun experience.

  

Carson recently learned all about fireman/firetrucks at his preschool so he knew a lot of the answers to the fireman's questions.  He loved being able to play around in the firetruck.  Tanner on the other hand was hot and cold.  He was scared of it at first, then thought it would be fun, then scared of it again.  Silly boy.

Oh how I love him!  He is really such the sweetest little boy, and to celebrate his birthday we had a little Halloween party.

We decorated pumpkins:

 and of course the pinata.  I don't think we can have a party now without a pinata.  Thats all Carson asks for!

Color Fun Run

Running a 5k is on my bucket list of things to do before I'm 30.  I know everyone and their dog runs races, but it was something I've wanted to do.  Plus Brad's a runner and it was nice to go on a date and do something he loves.  Since this was my first race I wanted to do something fun and low key.  Luckily there was a group-on for this race and we jumped on it.  

I can totally see why people run races.  It is such a high!  The adrenaline makes you run a little faster and not get tired as quickly.  It was a lot of fun!  Not that I'm going to run a marathon or anything tomorrow.  5k's are about my speed.  Maybe a 10k, we'll see, but I'd totally do it again.  I think Carson would have even enjoyed it.  Maybe next year we'll do it as a family. 

Fire Songs

Is it weird that Carson seems to pick up all the songs that include the word fire in them?  Then he asks "why is that girl on fire?" or "why is she dancing with fire?"  Should I be concerned at all?

But my absolute favorite is what he calls "our song"; Radioactive.  He loves that song and every time it comes on he says "its our song!"  They love the "ahhhhhh" moment, and finally got a video, but Tanner wasn't being as cooperative.  Its still cute though.
