Every New Year is a time of reflection and looking ahead. 2015 has been dubbed our Roller Coaster year. It had many twists and turns, ups and downs. There was lots of surprises, heartaches, disappointments, and learning opportunities. It was also a year of coming together as a family, humbling ourselves, and taking advantage of this wonderful life.
A lot happened this past year here's hoping that 2016 is a lot quieter and calmer!

New Years Eve
New Years Eve
My new years kiss
The "ball drop"
and lots and lots of fireworks to help ring in the new year.
On New Years day we went bowling
and I scored the highest ever in my bowling career. 123. I've never bowled over 100 before. Yes it involved bumpers, but considering I got an 11, yes an 11, on a day activity to a high school dance (just ask my date he was so embarrassed he went to the employees and told them we needed bumpers, and when they told him that they don't give bumpers to teenagers he said "oh no she really needs it!"). I was pretty darn excited for that high score!
It was a fun holiday weekend!

Kemah Boardwalk
We also took the family to eat at a good seafood place right on the ocean. The weather was warm (80 degrees), humid, and windy. It was fun to be near the water.
and since we were in the area we went to the Kemah Boardwalk where they have some carnival rides.
Brad and Tanner rode the merry go round
while Carson and I rode the Ferris wheel. The view from the top was gorgeous!
My dad and Aaron rode the Bullet. Its this rickety wooden roller coaster that goes really fast. I'm surprised my dad didn't get sick since he hasn't been on a roller coaster in over 15 years. There faces though were priceless.
It was a great day to be with family.

Christmas
There is nothing more fun then watching these boys on Christmas morning. They were so excited that Santa came!
Logan was so happy that the first thing he saw was a stuffed little minion in his stocking. Then he got even more excited when he opened his present and found an even bigger one!
This picture is blurry because Tanner wouldn't stop jumping up and down he was so excited that he got a penguin helicopter.
He finally stopped long enough to show us.
Carson was pretty excited about his present too. He got his every own tablet.
This cutie loves that minion.
Carson went straight away to build his legos.
We also got some Berts every flavor jelly beans in our stalkings. The reactions the boys made was priceless!Tanner got the barf one and he almost looks like he's gonna loose his cookies over it!
Then we were able to Skype with Uncle Tim who is on his mission in California. When we told the boys that my parents where coming, Tanner asked if Tim was coming too, and when I told him no he's not coming, he said, "but Tim's my friend". He was happy when we told him we could talk to him though.
It was nice talking to Tim. We all miss the baby of the family! He's doing well and is really enjoying the area that he's in although he thinks that he's gonna get transferred soon. Tim made the comment to me that he really liked our recent family photos and that I'm starting to look like a mom... "well I am a mom"... "I mean your looking old, em". Geez thanks Tim. I guess this year has aged me.
After we spoke to Tim we went and saw Star Wars! Since Brad has already seen it, he stayed home with the two littles. It was a good one!
Then to cap the night off we played our newest game, Pie in the Face. The boys thought it was the funniest thing ever! Tanner loves it and is always wanting to play it, he just never wants a turn. He just likes watching everyone else play it and get hit in the face with the "pie".
Carson actually loved getting hit in the face with the cream and would purposefully try to make it go on his turn.
Poor Grandpa he probably got hit with it the most. Much to the delight of everyone else.
It was another successful Christmas and it was so fun to have family in town to celebrate with us.
