Mother Son Night

Its our favorite school activity of the year!! Our annual Mother/Son event! This year I was in charge and although it wasn't too hard to plan, it was still exhausting.  Luckily everything went smoothly and I got so many compliments on how fun it was, so that was a huge relief.  I know we had a blast!

I was a little worried that it would rain since we had a lot of outdoor activities, but fortunately the rain stayed away until after party was over.  It ended up being a perfect night.
We did a selfie challenge to encourage the moms to interact with their sons vs. talking to friends.  If they competed they would be able to put their name in the raffle drawing to win some prizes. So if there seems to be some random pictures, they were taken for the challenge.  The good thing though was that the selfie challenge worked!
craft!  Decorated leather bracelets this year.

 silly faces

 pictures with friends
 mini golf!

but the best part of the night was the go Karts.
Carson was so happy he was tall enough to ride his own!  It was the perfect way to end the night.

Sure love my boys and enjoy spending some quality time with them!

Suessical the Musical

A lot of kids in our neighborhood participate in a local theater production, and so Carson wanted to join in, so I tried signing him up for the spring production of Alice and Wonder Jr, but unfortunately it was full.  However the director contacted me and said the teenagers are putting on a performance of Horton Hears a Who and she thought it would be cute to have littler kids be the who's.  I thought it would be a good introduction into theater to see if he liked it.

Here he is before his first big performance! It was so weird to see him in makeup!  He was a little nervous, but excited at the same time.

(Brad snuck an illegal video, due to copyright issues there's no recording, but Brad didn't realize it and snapped this)  Isn't he adorable?!!

The whole cast!  It was such a darling production!  Everyone did such an amazing job.
There were 3 performances; a Friday night, Saturday Matinee, and a Saturday night.  Brad and I each saw a night show and then we took the whole family to the Saturday matinee.  The boys liked it.

The Cat n the Hat did an amazing job!  She was hilarious!  Carson liked it so much we signed him up for summer camp!
