Baseball

We've never done baseball.  Carson and Tanner never seemed interested and to be honest, I wasn't either.  But Logan this year said he really wanted to play so here we were.

They may have lost every game this season, but Logan sure did start to love the game of Baseball!
These little Angels were just the cutest!

For someone who has never played before on a team who most kids have been playing since they were 3.  And who due to his birthday was on a team of 1st graders despite being in kinder.  He sure did try his hardest!  It was fun to watch him grow as a player.

Halfway through the season he hit his first ball.  And since he's never hit the ball before, he was unsure what to do.  It was classic.  Hopefully you can watch the video, if not here's the synopsis.  Logan hits the ball, everyone is telling him to run.  Logan just stands there as the pitcher tries to get the guy out who is running towards home plate.  Everyone keeps telling Logan to run, which he finally does, but he drags his baseball bat with him.  Pitcher gets the guy out running home, then starts after Logan who he also gets out.

That game, Logan gets the gameball!!

Here's that video:  Its the cutest thing

Logan now says he likes baseball more that basketball, but still loves them both.  So hopefully next year we'll just keep getting better and better!

Beach Bums

We went to the beach every weekend while Brad was gone.  We were loving it.  On one of our trips we went with some friends and they taught the boys how to surf!  The boys loved it and he said they were naturals!  Both boys got up on their first try!  Now they want surf boards.  We settled and I got them boogie boards.

Phew and thats a wrap on our summer!

Lake Powell: Brad's Birthday

That morning a group of us snuck out for an early morning ride to get some smooth water for wakeboarding.
 I always love watching him!

Carson got to try kneeboarding.  He had been so excited to try it and he absolutely loved it! He'd ride it all day if we'd let him.

 I even got a turn!
and Tanner got to ride the boat!
and then his turn for kneeboarding.  He was a little more nervous then Carson was.

This video ended right when Tanner fell!  He was terrified and never wanted to do it again.
No worries, Carson was more than happy to go again!
while we were gone, Logan had fun with the baby cousins playing in the sand and water.

Our third craft decorating picture frames!
He loved Kneeboarding so much!

So on this day our houseboat had a little issue, the sewage started backing up 😱💩 so most of the afternoon was spent fixing that issue.  So glad that Brent and the boys know what they're doing!  They are so good at fixing things.  Here we are at the marina enjoying a nice treat while the others are dealing with the stinky problem.

After we got the boat as good as new, we had to then find a new camp spot for the boat. After we did, we took these cool dudes out on the tube.
the cute little flag boy.  He didn't last long doing this.
They sure had fun! Except maybe Tanner who was still a little traumatized from this mornings fall.
Then Brad took Logan out.  We've taken all our babies out on the tube and I'm so glad we're finally able to take Logan.
 He loved it!

That night we celebrated this guy.  I love him so much and am glad he got to celebrate with family doing some of his most favorite things. It was a good day.

Utah summers

It wouldn't be summer without our annual trip to Utah to see family!  The kids and I stayed a whole month and we pretty much had something fun going every day.  It was a great way to kick off the summer.
The night before we left Logan came down the stairs and said he was "ready for Utah!"  It was adorable.  He was so excited! He's been asking forever when we can go on an airplane to Utah"

Woke up super early this trip to fly to Utah.  The good thing about going that early is everyone (except Carson) slept on the plane and we got to Utah early in the day to play!
the kids went straight to playing!  Here's some fun from our first few days:
Layton park to feed the ducks!

Logan got to ride on the trax for the first time.  Rode them down to see Grandma Forsyth.
This kid fell in love with creamies.  Had one every day for the whole month we were there, I'm not joking.
 Olivia's 5th birthday party!

Getting Grandpa Clark's boat ready for Lake Powell!
