AJR

For my birthday present Brad got me and the family tickets to see AJR!  AJR is our families favorite band.  We love their music, Logan listens to them every night to help him fall asleep! If you haven't heard of them, I'm sure you've at least have heard their music on the radio.  They are similar in style to Imagine Dragons and Twenty-One Pilots.
I have to say it was one of the best concerts I have ever been too!  They were Amazing!  So incredibly fun.

Carson got a concert shirt!
and even though there was absolutely no indication of rain that day, it rained slightly at first we even had to duck under the awning because of lightning.  Texas weather, man I tell ya!  So unpredictable! Luckily that happened right before the concert started and by the time AJR was on it had stopped.
Opening for AJR was Gayle.  If you hadn't hear of her, yeah neither had we.  She has one hit song on the radio and thats it.  Its the ABCDEFu song.  And although a teenager, she wasn't very family friendly even though there was lots of families there for AJR.  Luckily she didn't have that long of a performance.

only Tanner would get up and dance with me, love him!

Boys update

New belts for the boys! Carson and Tanner are on their last belt before they get their black belt!! So excited for them!

Carson has been looking forward to this moment whole school year, his orchestra class heading to Six Flags! Dropped him off at 6 am and picked him up at midnight! It was the best day ever!

Field day with my boys! Logan didn’t know what field day was and one I told him it was when you just get to play outdoor games all day instead of school, he was soo excited!

Logan got the Kindness award just a month before and then also got the Honesty award! You’re only supposed to get one award a year, but his teacher must have forgotten he already got one. (I’m not gonna tell 😁!) Soo proud of my boy!
The two boys also moved up in scout tank! Onto wolf and arrow of light!
Yep this one’s mine

Speaking of scouts… community service for this one
And a cute picture just because

1st grade field trip!

I went on my very first field trip! I know I can’t believe it’s my first one too, but I always had a baby or toddler at home and then when Logan was in school full time Covid happened. So I was so excited to finally go chaperone!
Logan didn’t even know what a field trip was and after he learned that it’s where you get to miss school to go on an adventure he was counting down the days! We went to Blessington farms and the kids had an absolute blast!

Here’s my cute little group!  I had the principals daughter and another 1st grade teacher’s daughter in my group so I think they gave me the good kids group! Well except For maybe Logan himself…jk he’s good! Sometimes…
And the bluebonnets were out in full bloom! I’ve only been to this farm in the fall. It’s so pretty to come in the spring as well.

And I caught this sweet moment with his teacher Ms Callen. Logan was showing her all the fossils he found in the fossil dig (they were shark teeth).

Logan’s first grade class!

It was a perfect day on the farm! You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful spring day!

NJHS

Carson was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society! This is for outstanding academics as well as outstanding performance in character.  We are so proud of Carson and all of his hard work that he puts in his studies.

In other Carson news I spent all day taking him to Galveston with his friends for an extra credit assignment in social studies.  The assignment took less than 30 minutes so to make the trip worth it, I took his friends to the beach and then to Kemah boardwalk.  I have never felt so ignored in my life.  Ahhh teenagers, I'm still getting used to it. Carson had the best day and time of his life while luckily I had a book on tape to keep me entertained while I walked along the boardwalk.
