Penang Island

Brad spent his last day in Malaysia with a day trip to Penang Island—and it was the perfect way to wrap up his adventure. 🏝️ Known as a food lover’s paradise, Penang did not disappoint. He had his favorite meal of the entire trip there—packed with bold flavors and local spices that totally hit the spot. 😋

He wandered through the colorful streets of George Town, spotting creative street art tucked into alleys and painted on old walls—each piece telling a little story. 🎨 Along the way, he also visited a beautiful Hindu temple, full of intricate carvings and vibrant colors that added to the island’s rich cultural mix. ⛩️

From the food to the art to the architecture, Penang was the perfect final stop—Brad couldn’t have asked for a better send-off!

Snorkeling

Brad had an unforgettable snorkeling adventure today! 🐠☀️ He dove into the clear blue waters and got to swim alongside all kinds of incredible sea life—he spotted clownfish (hello, Nemo!), a Blue Tang (definitely channeling Dory vibes), graceful sea turtles, and even caught a glimpse of a reef shark cruising by! 🦈🐢

The day included a stop for a tasty island lunch—fried noodles with an ocean breeze view. 🌴🍜 Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper snorkeling day without a little souvenir… Brad came back with a sunburn on his back. 😅 But totally worth it for such a beautiful, adventure-packed day in paradise!

Mountain Biking in Malaysia

Brad’s mountain biking adventure in Kiulu Valley was one for the books! It was just him, a seasoned Malaysian mountain cyclist, and a guide in a car tagging along to take photos and drone footage. The views were stunning, but the ride itself? Brutal. 🥵

The heat was intense and the climbs were relentless—even Brad, who’s no stranger to tough rides, said it was hard. That’s how you know it was serious! They wound their way through lush hills and rugged terrain before stopping for a well-earned lunch at a peaceful Chinese temple overlooking the valley.

It was an unforgettable way to take in the wild beauty of Sabah—sweat, gears, and all. 🚵‍♂️💪📸

Sunset in KK

A coworker told Brad that this beach had some of the most beautiful sunsets—and it didn’t disappoint. The sky lit up in a blend of orange, pink, and purple as the sun dipped below the horizon, making for a perfect end to the day. Afterward, Brad headed to a local spot called Hello Seafood for dinner, where he ordered fried rice and lobster that instantly reminded him of the “bugs” we ate back in Australia. Same look, same flavor—just as tasty!
