Honorable Mentions

Here are the things that we squeezed into our trip.  We were in Utah for 3 weeks, but it seemed we had something going on everyday and as such our trip just flew by.

We went to Logan to visit Grandpa Reed.  As I'm writing this 3 months behind, Grandpa has since passed away.  So looking back on this visit is extra special.  Grandpa did seem a little slower, a little more tired, but ever the jokester and tease we all know and love.  He still had that love for life, and before we left he sang us a song.
While in Logan we meet up with MaryKate the bride to look at her and Tim's new apartment and for some Aggie Ice Cream.
Movie night in Ryan and Sasha's backyard!  They have the perfect set up, twinkle lights and all! We all had a great time!

Celebrated Kami's birthday by getting pedi's!
That night they went to the Cheesecake factory
and the kids got to meet these guys!  I myself was at a bachelorette party for my soon to be sister-in law.  No pictures were taken, but we had a great night with spray tans and desert and welcoming in the newest sister into our family
Cousin Sleepover!  Mason slept over at Grandma's with us!  Boy heaven right here.

made Grandma play twister and I had to document!
 Crazy sleepers.
and they wanted to walk home from church.  Look at these little stud muffins.  Gotta keep our eye on them when they get older!
Should have gotten this picture before church, cuz some boys (cough Logan) look like a little rag muffin, but they were so handsome and we all seemed to magically match so pictures it is.

and whats summer without a little bowling and some popsicles?

Also why does summer have to fly by so fast? 😭

Hikes, Climbing, and Dino's Oh My!

While in Utah Kae mentioned how she's been wanting to go on some hikes, but has no one to go with, so Brad took her up on that and during the week he was there in Utah took her on 3 hikes!

Hike 1:

 found wild raspberries
 Hike 2:
This time I got to join as Marilyn, took us up to one of her favorite hikes.  It was a semi difficult hike and Brad and Marilyn were running up the mountain so I was glad to have a hiking partner in Kae as she was the speed as me!

 we made it!

Hike 3: Andy Adams with Ryan

Took the cousins to one of their favorite spots; Dinosaur Park

I have to admit I was so impressed with my boys and how well they were with their baby cousins!  They loved on them so much.  It warmed my heart. They really are the sweetest!

Took the Clark cousins to the Momentum in Sandy!  Gotta love employee perks.  It was a fun afternoon showing them something that our family loves to do!
if this just isn't the cutest picture ever!

We really filled every as much fun as we could during our Utah trip!  There wasn't a dull moment!

Yellowstone Day 3

On our last full day at Island Park/Yellowstone, Kae and I started off our day by going on a little kayaking trip.  The morning started off peaceful and going down the river was beautiful, we were hoping to see some wildlife that others had seen, but we unfortunately didn't.  We did however enjoy looking at all the cool cabins along the way.  By the time we reached the end of the river however (it ended at a damn) the wind started picking up so we turned around to hurry back before it got worse.  Well we didn't make it very far before the winds really picked up and it started raining. We traveled the whole length of the river in wind and rain. It was quite the adventure, but we're strong and handled it like champs!
After a yummy breakfast we made our way back into Yellowstone Park to see all the sights we couldn't fit in yesterday.  And you  know me I had to stop and get a picture before we started.

First stop: Upper Falls

Carson was in another car with his cousins and so they stopped and saw this beauty:
Hayden Valley:
Dragon's mouth Springs:  the sound and steam really did make it seem like there was a dragon living in the cave!

The Mud volcano's were so cool to look at.  Unfortunately the sulfuric acid was really doing a number on Carson's asthma and making it really difficult to breathe, so we didn't stay too long.

and to cap off the day we went to the lookout at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  There was about a mile hike to the rim of the falls and Logan wasn't having it so I stopped and waited with him while the rest of our group hiked down.  After waiting about 10 minutes Logan decided he didn't want to wait and that he wanted to continue hiking and then he basically ran down the mountain with me.  He was such a good trooper!

Made it to the lookout.
It looked straight out of a magazine! So breathtakingly beautiful.  It sure was the perfect way to end our day in the park.

Ahh Yellowstone you sure were a sight to see!  Thank you for letting us partake in your beauty!
And then we greeted with this gorgeous sunset back at the cabin!! Nature was sure making it difficult for us to say goodbye!
(on the kayaks: Brad, Carson, Tanner and Mason)

kids did a little craft:

It was the perfect place for a family reunion.
Goodbye Island Park! The Clarks sure had a great time!!
