2 months old

Carson went in to his 2 month check up today. I can't believe how time has flown by. He is now 10 lbs 3 ounces and is 22 inches long. He is getting so big! He had his immunizations shots today and I felt so bad when he was getting it done but after the shots where over he just whimpered and fell asleep and has been asleep for most of the day.

In other news Carson is starting to smile a lot more. He is usually really happy in the mornings and that's when he usually talks and smiles to me. Its so cute. Here's something funny, Carson loves his changing pad. Odd huh? No matter how fussy he is all I have to do is put him on his changing pad and he stops crying. I swear its magic.

A couple weeks ago Carson was really fussy and all he wanted to do was to walk around and be held. I can only walk in circles for so long around the house so we decided Carson might like a swing. When we first put him in it he was all smiles. There is a mirror above his head and he was just in awe of it. He likes making different faces and its so funny to watch I had to post some pictures. I really wish we would have gotten the swing sooner it would have really been nice to have while we were unpacking.

Carson has a Cousin!

Congratulations to Rich and Kami!  They had baby Brooklyn this morning and she weighed 6 lbs 1 ounce.  She took longer then expected to get here but we are very excited to meet our newest family member.  Plus Brad and I are now officially an Aunt and Uncle, how fun!

Carson loves me

I love how my baby knows me. I just love how he perks up when he hears my voice and how I can calm him down like no one else. It just warms my heart.

Moved in?

Well its been about a week and a half since we moved in and the house is finally organized. All that remains are pictures to be hung on the walls, but I'm saving that until we can get the walls painted. When we first moved in it didn't seem real, but our house is starting to feel more like home. Plus its so nice to be in a "big city" I think we have made it into town at least every other day.

We went to our new ward on Sunday and it is huge! Considering that we came from a ward that averaged about 75 people a week to a ward that has 3 nurseries I might even have mistaken it as a "Utah Ward" because of all the people. Our ward has obviously a lot of young families (hence the 3 almost soon to be 4 nurseries) so I think we will make lots of good friends.

The weather here is warming up and the pools are open so if anyone wants to come visit our doors are now open.

The Clark's Visit Carson

The Clark's came one last time to visit us in Morenci before we moved. Actually the real reason for their visit was not to see Morenci one last time but to see Carson. We loved having them and wished they could have stayed longer.

Grandma's first time holding Carson.

The proud Grandparents
The cute Aunts: Emily was so cute and kept kissing Carson and telling him how much she loved him.
Brent seemed to know exactly what to do to make Carson happy it was so cute to watch the two of them. When Carson got a little fussy he was handed his Grandpa (or me if he was hungry).

Carson is the first grandchild on both sides and he has been spoiled with love from both of our families. We just love it. Now we just need to introduce Carson to my father and all of his uncles.

We love having family come visit and hopefully now that we have Carson (and a pool) people will come visit us more often.
