Oh what do Arizonans do in the Summertime?

Since yesterdays temperature was 109, long gone were the days when we could go to the park, go on walks, and really do anything outside for longer then it takes to walk to your car. So what do we do instead?

Well we do a lot of swimming:We go the the children's museum:

We go to McDonalds to play on their playground:
We go to the library:

We participate in the Library's summer reading programs. This day we learned about Reptiles tomorrow ambassadors from Reid Park Zoo are coming!

We've even driven to the mall to play on their indoor playground: (This picture was taken last summer).
Really anything that involves air conditioning, a playground, other kids, and gets us out of the house is always a fun time.

Budding Photographer

Remember how I said Carson is extremely smart when it comes to electronics? Well I wasn't joking today Carson found the camera that I apparently left in a spot that Carson could reach and well... I found he had taken about 10 different pictures.

Visitors for a Day

Brad's brother and his family moved to Flagstaff about a month ago, and my mother and sister-in law took a road trip to visit them. On Sunday we met up with them in Mesa with Brad's aunt and uncle.My mother and sister in-law then came to visit us in Tucson and brought with them my adorable niece Brooklyn to spend a couple days with her cousin.

Marilyn's Wedding

On Memorial Day we had a get to know you BBQ with Marilyn's fiance's family.

A tradition in Brad's family is that they make up a song about the bride and groom and sing it to them at the wedding lunchen or dinner. My mom had so much fun doing one for my wedding that she has decided that it will now become a Murphy tradition as well. Here are Kat, Tim, and my mom singing the song to one of my favorite Beatles song "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da". It was really cute.

For the "Bachelorette" Party (is it considered bachelorette party if some spouses came?) we went to Keys on Main. It was SO much fun! If you have never been I highly recommend it. It is a piano bar where two guys duke it out on the piano. Since it was a Wednesday night the bar was empty except for our little group. So every song we requested they played. The highlight of the night was when they played "Like a Virgin" by Madonna and had Marilyn get up on stage with a boa.

(side note: they are dancing to a love song not the above mentioned Madonna song)

My Bro's

When Daniel left on his mission he brought with him a toy missionary. This toy looks like a GI Joe, but its an LDS missionary. Daniel takes pictures of his "missionary" in random places in Taiwan (like the Travelocity gnome). So in honor of Daniel, his little "missionary" is in a few pictures.

Pre-Wedding Activities

So for the past three weeks I have been in Utah for my sisters wedding. I came up early because Brad was going to be on a business trip anyway for a whole week and I thought I might as well spend the time with family rather then by myself in sweltering Arizona.

One of the first things I did when I got into Utah was to see my sister-in law Andrea's dance recital. I haven't seen her dance in a long time and she was just absolutely beautiful.

My uncle and aunt took us Murphy kids to the Olive Garden where we got our fancy drinks and gave a toast to my brother on a mission.

I just had to include this picture, because I think it is absolutely hilarious.

The Hoogle Zoo! I haven't been there in AGES and it was so fun!

I tried to get the classic picture with arms spread wide, but my one year old didn't quite understand, so this is the best picture I got.

Baby Zuri is definitely the star attraction at the zoo. She is so cute!

Carson couldn't keep his eyes off of her!When Brad finally got into town we went to Boondocks and raced go-carts.

We played Arcade games, and I took this darling video of Carson.

Another fun thing we were able to do was to go on a white water rafting trip down the Weber River. It was a gorgeous trip through Weber Canyon (by devils slide) and we were able to see a lot of wild life, but it was FREEZING! I think the water temperature was below freezing. We were all shivering the entire time.

Brad offered my 16 year old brother $10 to jump in the river. Of course being a teenager and willing to do anything for money my brother jumped in. I was laughing so hard. Hours after we got him out of the river his lips were still purple.
