Swimming in March

Being from Utah I still find it hard to believe that I can go swimming in March, but I'm loving it! The weather couldn't have been more perfect with a nice 84 degree temperature so Carson and I jumped at the chance to go to the pool for the first time this year.

Its so much fun going with Carson now that he can actually enjoy it. Carson was lovin it!

He kept wanting to crawl in the pool and swallowed some water, but that didn't stop him.

Carson did not want to go and as we were leaving he throw a tantrum. So needless to say I think we are going to be spending the majority of our summer at the pool. I'm just hoping that Carson will learn how to walk by Memorial Day so he can be able to enjoy this splash park in the summer.

Stats and a Movie

We went to Carson's 1 year check up and here are his stats:

weight: 19.49 (7th percentile)

height: 28 inches

My baby is an all around small little guy. As the doctor said "he can do everything everyone else can he just takes up less space."

Brad did not want me to post this video, because he thought you might think we are bad parents, but I couldn't help it. I love this video. I do have to apologize for the lighting, because Carson is under the office desk, but you can still make out the objects.

1 Year Old

It doesn't seem real. It seems like I just wrote this and this. How can my little baby already be 1? These past couple days my mind kept going back to the day it all began. Our nervous excitement as we rushed to the hospital. The anticipation in the hospital as we got closer and closer to delivery, and finally holding him for the first time. I couldn't believe he was mine. This baby that had been growing inside me and could only image what he would be like the past 9 months was now physically here. It was such an overwhelming feeling, and instant love for this little guy.

Now 12 months later I look back and think of all the love and joy he has brought into our lives. Every little milestone he passed was (in our eyes) fascinating. He makes us laugh everyday. His budding personality keeps getting bigger and bigger. I could not imagine life without him. Happy Birthday Carson. We love you with all our heart.

Birthday Money

Today Carson got a birthday card from grandma and grandpa with some money in it. I asked Carson if we should open a bank account for him to start saving for his mission, and while sitting in his high chair eating his snack Carson looked at me and shook his head no. *Sigh*

Don't worry we still have 18 years to talk him into it.
