Boring Update

I've been wanting to update my blog with something non-Carson related, but in all honesty Brad and I are pretty boring. There is just nothing exciting to report, but here is a quick update for those who are interested:

This past week Brad has had strep throat. I've never seen Brad so sick and for so long. Carson and I felt like we were quarantined with Brad since the weather has been too windy to play outside (we even had a tornado warning!). Brad also started another semester so on Mondays and Wednesdays he is stuck in the study all night.

As for me I've been trying to entertain Carson. The library started a baby story time this year and Carson and I have been going faithfully each week. They sing songs with puppets and have bubbles. I'm not sure how Carson feels about it yet because he keeps a straight face on the whole time, but he does like the bubbles and it gets me out of the house.

Lets see... what else? My brother leaves the MTC on Tuesday to go to Taiwan, and it has been fun hearing from him. Although I'm excited to hear more about Taiwan then the MTC he makes the MTC sound really boring.

I think that about covers it. Not extremely exciting I know, but such is life.

If only we all were as easily entertained...

Carsons favorite new game: Look under the door and try and grab mom and dads hands. He loves it when we catch his hand and nibble on it. He just thinks its the greatest thing in the world. He will shut the door on us just so he can play his game and is constantly looking under shut doors.
When he realized we were taking pictures.

Like Father, Like son

Everyone says that Carson looks just like Brad. I've never been able to tell if Carson looked liked either one of us. Then I watched our wedding video and this picture of Brad came up. I now see the resemblance.

10 Months

Weight: 18.2 (5th percentile)

This past month has not brought a whole lot of new changes just more of his budding personality. Here is what Carson has been up too.

Carson thinks he is quite the comedian. He loves to do this fake laugh and thinks its so funny if he can get you to do a fake cough as well. Its even more funnier if you stick your tongue out.

He now gives kisses (or I like to think they are kisses) which look more like he is trying to bite your face then giving you some love' n. He can also give high fives.

He is a little shy at first around people but easily warms up as long as you play with him. He is getting really close to walking and will stand on his own for about three seconds before he sits himself down.

With the start of the new year I've reflected on this past year and how much my life has changed and I owe it all to my little guy. I love you!

Carson's 1st Haircut

Tradition: Grandpa Clark gave Brad his first haircut and so I really wanted him to give Carson, his first grandson, his first haircut.

(not Brads first haircut, but its the only picture I have)

Doesn't it make him look so much older?
