Orchestra

Can't believe how fast this school year went and that its already the end-of-year orchestra concert . These years are flying by!

This year was Tanner’s last year in junior high orchestra, so they highlighted all the 8th graders with baby pictures. And of course we had to share Tanners most infamous baby picture.  Got a little grumbling from Tanner, but like Brad said "we've waited 14 years for this moment!" I think from the moment I took that picture we knew that is was going to be THE picture that would be shared at all important Tanner life events.  It got a few laughs from the audience, which made it even better. I’d say it was well worth the wait!

As they recognized the 8th graders, Tanner stood next to his girlfriend, Sammy. It was so cute watching them together.  Tanner is just so happy when he's with her.

We also had to get a picture with his best buddies

The orchestra siblings—Logan and Jason. They even got to bring home the extra witch’s hat, which was a fun little bonus!

These boys have shared so many memories sitting through their siblings concerts together. Mostly laughing and giggling their way through them.  Although, next year it will be their turn in junior high orchestra!

Then it was Carson’s turn. As they highlighted the seniors at the end of their concert, I couldn’t help but feel a little emotional. Watching those seniors take their final bow made me realize that this will be us next year. How are we already here? It feels like just yesterday Carson just started orchestra in junior high, and now we’re getting ready for his senior year and all the lasts that come with it.

I’m so proud of both boys and grateful for the friendships, experiences, and memories orchestra has given them.  And so excited that they'll have at least one year in high school Orchestra to play together. But if this concert was any indication, next year’s end-of-year concert is going to be a little harder on this mama’s heart. ❤️
