Houston Symphony

Conoco Phillips celebrated their 50th Holiday Concert this year!  I'm happy to have celebrated 6 of those years with them.  It is the top highlight of our Christmas traditions.  Nothing puts us in the Christmas spirit more than going to this.
Before we headed to the concert we stopped off at a pizza place downtown to grab something to eat.  While waiting for our food, a homeless man walked past the window and Logan banged on it and started waving.  The change in this man's face as it softened when he saw that Logan was waving hi to him was precious.  A few minutes later this man walked into the pizza  and tried to give Logan a dollar.  Knowing that we couldn't possibly take the money from him we told him we couldn't and then he raised his bible and said "God told me to give this money to that young boy, because he's special" and then walked away.  As a mom my heart couldn't help but burst.

All Tanner wants for Christmas is his two front teeth (maybe a couple more too).  Just had to snap this picture during the holiday season cuz you can't help but not sing that song in your head when you see him!

Since it was their 50th year, Conoco went all out.  They brought back the cookies and hot chocolate (missing the past few years due to budget cuts), but this year the cookies were fancy decorated sugar cookies vs the chocolate chip in the past.  All adults got champaign, they had a photo booth, and overall it just felt more organized.  It was a good one!
 so hard to choose!

As always it was fantastic.  The first and last songs were the best, gave me chills and put tears in my eyes.  The kids loved the sing a long.  It was a great evening.  Can't wait till next years!
