Ever since school started it’s just been one thing/activity after another and it just hasn’t stopped. I’m exhausted and can’t wait for things to slow down, but the holiday season is just about to start and one that happens it’s busy till New Years. Oh well I guess I should just embrace the crazy. Here’s a little bit of what we did in October:
Scout fishing tournament!
Logan caught 2 fish!
Tanner got a catch as soon as we started and it ended up being huge! He caught the biggest fish out of his age group (Arrow of Light) and won a nice new fishing pole!
Another scout activity. Building. Logan built this structure out of marshmallows and spaghetti noodles. Although the leaders really should have thought about giving a bunch of marshmallows to 8 year olds cuz it ended up becoming a gooey mess by a lot of the kids.
Our elementary school celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year and had a fall carnival to celebrate! On the right is our school mascot the Shafer Silver Knight and on the left is the high school mascot.
I took the two older boys to see a local high school production of The Play That Goes Wrong. Brad and I saw it on Broadway a couple years ago and knew that Carson would think it’s hilarious and so we went on a mother son date night. It was such a great night with my handsome dates.
Brad was in Canada for two weeks on business and then the day after he got back I went on a girls trip for a weekend so because we didn’t get to see each other for a long time we went on a couple date nights to make up for it.
Before he left it was dinner in the city and a Broadway show (Hadestown)
The Astros one the World Series!!! We love watching our favorite team play in the playoffs, even more fun when we win the Series! The whole city of Houston is on fire during the month of October. It’s contagious you can’t help but be excited. We love our Astros!Fancy diner night at my friends house. She went all out and even though we didn’t know very many people, it ended up being such a fun night! The guy who sat across from us used to play the main character in the Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil’s Ka for 10 years! How cool is that?!
