Costa Rica: Fortuna Waterfall

After learning all about the volcano and having lunch, we went to one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular waterfalls: Fortuna Waterfall

Getting the first glimpse

They also have a zip line that would be amazing to go on for the view of the waterfall!
Love these hanging bridges!
Carson however does not. I mean look at that eye roll! ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ˜† We found out Carson is seriously afraid on the hanging bridges, so he was not interested in taking a picture. He doesn’t like the instability of them and threatened Tanner’s life if Tanner would jump or sway the bridge in any way.

I missed hearing back at the viewing area, that that was the last place to change into swimsuits so when we got to the area to leave our personal belongings/clothes I ended up just going in my shorts and sports bra. Not ideal, but better than missing out.

We crossed the freezing river, (which took the boys forever to finally get in) to get the most beautiful view.

Absolutely breathtaking

After seeing the waterfall we went to the thermal pools where we got to soak and enjoy the beauty of the views.
The boys loved the water side!

So cool!

The thermal pool was the perfect way to end our tour. Afterwards we went out to dinner.  We went to this amazing restaurant that was one of the best places we went to the whole trip. And how perfect was it that it was on Thanksgiving! We spoiled ourselves and Brad & I got a seafood  paella with lobster, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, and a bunch of other amazing seafood. It was delicious!

Funny story. When our waiter greeted us he wished us a happy Thanksgiving and Logan said “are you American too?! How do you know it’s Thanksgiving?”

It was definitely a Thanksgiving we’ll never forget!
