3 on the 3rd!

Logan's Golden birthday!
Unfortunately, this poor little guy woke up with a fever.  Saddest thing ever to be sick on your birthday, but he did want extra cuddles that day which I was more than happy to give!

We went out to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Clark for Logan's birthday and after we went to his namesake, Logan, Utah.  To visit Grandma and Grandpa Mickelson, and watch the Logan City fireworks.

Playing at the Mickelson house.
Boy was it sure hard to go inside the house.  It was empty and bare, no Grandma to welcome us with open arms, no fancy dinner welcoming us back into town.  Brad said it was harder than he expected it to be, but oh what wonderful memories are at that house!

Visiting Grandma.  Since we were out of town and unable to attend the funeral it never felt real to me that she was gone.  It all just happened so fast! I mean I just recently spoke to her on the phone to see how she was feeling before she died and she seemed in good spirits.  I also felt so strongly that we would see her one last time this summer and be able to say our goodbyes (we were recently told she had about a year left to live).  She died just one month before our annual trip to Utah.  So seeing her grave was a little difficult, but at the same time, it was comforting.
She has such a wonderful view from her resting spot!
Since it was his birthday, Brad let Logan drive the two blocks back to the house.  He had the biggest smile the whole way back!

Although Tylenol did help this big boy a ton, he still wasn't himself, but we went to a park and had our birthday cake, presents, and a water balloon party!

Logan loved the fire truck from Grandma and never left his side the rest of the trip!
and of course, the water balloons were a big hit!

After the fun and games, we tried to go see Grandpa Mickelson at the Assisted Living home, only to find that he was gone with another family member at a BBQ :( so we then went to Aggie Ice cream for a treat and to grab a spot to watch the fireworks.

Haven't seen the Logan fireworks in years!  It was fun to be with family and celebrate Logan's birthday.  It's fun that Logan can always have fireworks on his birthday!

Even though he was sick I still think he had a fun day.
