Glitter Mountain

The following day we headed to Glitter Mountain! It is actually an old gypsum mine that is now open to the public to come and "mine".  My boys were in heaven with their hammer and chisels trying to collect "crystals".  The ground was just glittering with these crystals and you didn't even need to hammer them out, but that's half the fun right?

It was just so dang hot! It was us and Rich's family while the group with the babies stayed home out of the heat. Which was smart because this old mine sure collected the heat and trapped it.  There was no breeze whatsoever.

Carson and Mason could have stayed out here all day if we would have let them.  They found the only shade there was and they went to town!

This one got too hot.  Don't blame him though

cute little miners!
we needed to cool down so we stopped to get some smoothies and caught these cuties being just too cute!
and here too

when we got back to the house Sasha had prepared for the kids some cupcake decorating!

and I caught these brothers snoozing.  Ok actually Ryan was faking it, but it was hilarious!  I think the heat wore them out!

and what could be a more better way to end our St. George stay than Nelson's frozen custard

Then to cap off the night it was a rather long game of Uno, with me as the winner!
