We made it to our destination in Brussels, Bruge! Its nickname is the “Venice of the North”. Bruge is famous for its well preserved medieval architecture and canals. It’s an incredibly charming city, the kind of place where we loved just wandering and getting lost in its enchanting streets.
After we first arrived we got some dinner, mussels and traditional Belgium stew.
Then we wondered over to the main square to explore the adorable Christmas market.

At night, Bruges transformed into a mesmerizing spectacle with light displays scattered throughout the city. As you strolled along paths illuminated by blue lanterns, you discovered various captivating light shows. Some were interactive, inviting participation, while others were simply to be admired. In one particularly memorable display, placing your hand on a monitor caused your heartbeat to be projected in lights against the ancient hospital’s facade. It was an unforgettable experience.

Bruge is the most charming little city! So glad we chose this city to stop and explore!
